Save 50% Off the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Black Friday

If you're looking for a wireless gaming headset with swappable batteries, the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless gaming headset is going to be your best bet – now at the best price you'll find. As part of its early Black Friday Sale, Best Buy just dropped 50% off this headset, now only $139.99 shipped. The packaging mentions only PS4 and PC compatibility, however SteelSeries has confirmed PS5 compatibility. The only other wireless headset with swappable batteries is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro, and we've never seen that model sell for under $250.

The Arctis Pro was the highest-end gaming headset in SteelSeries' repertoire until its successor, the Arctis Nova Pro, was released. The Arctis Pro has several standout features you don't see in other gaming headsets, like a separate base station with volume knob and OLED display and simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4GHz WiFi pairing. However, probably the most unique and ingenious feature is the hot-swappable battery system. SteelSeries generously includes two batteries: one that's in use in your headset and the other that's charging in the separate DAC controller. This way, you get wireless freedom with no waiting to recharge. Each battery lasts for up to 10 hours of continued use.

The Arctis Pro features excellent build quality and materials. The premium speaker drivers with high-density neodymium magnets can reproduce hi-ees audio out to 40,000Hz. The headband is made of a lightweight steel and aluminum alloy construction and the suspension headstrap is very comfortable for marathon gaming sessions. The ear cushions are made of an AirWeave performance fabric similar to the ones found on the new Arctis Nova Pro. The ClearCast boom microphone can be retracted when not in use.

We reviewed the SteelSeries Arctis Pro and gave it an 8.5/10. Matt Elliott wrote that "the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless boasts premium build quality, a comfortable design, and outstanding sound. Plus, the clever battery-swapping design means you’ll never be without power."

The Arctis Pro was succeeded by the Arctis Nova Pro in 2022. The best price for a brand new pair of Nova Pros is $270 on Amazon. Although it's an excellent headset that we reviewed favorably and features significant upgrades like active noise cancellation and USB Type-C charging, it most certainly isn't worth nearly double the cost of the Arctis Pro. We haven't seen a deal this good on these specific headphones since 2022, and we don't expect it to go any lower on Black Friday.

When Is Black Friday 2024?

The actual date of Black Friday in 2024 falls on November 29, but the holiday deals season starts a lot earlier than that. Plenty of retailers have already been dropping deals online. (This usually starts in the last week of October, just before Halloween.) More and more deals will roll out leading up to the event, which culminates in massive discounts on Black Friday. Retailers will not reveal their biggest Bdeals until the big day, but many deals will be available well in advance.
