Switch OLED Black Friday Bundle Is Now $275 at Target – I Think It's Nintendo's Best Console Deal Ever

Nintendo has introduced one of the best-ever console deals with the Switch OLED bundle now priced at $275 and the standard Switch bundle available for $225. Both bundles include a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 12-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, marking it as one of the best Black Friday deals available in 2024.

We're expecting this deal to be extremely popular, even with the hotly anticipated Switch 2 seemingly incoming next year, so snap it up ASAP to avoid disappointment. At the time of this article's publication, this deal is only available at Target and Best Buy, but we're also expecting other retailers like Walmart to price match soon, so keep an eye out for updates here or @IGNDeals on Twitter/X or Bluesky.

These bundles offer a significant $155 discount versus buying all of the items individually at regular price; that’s a great deal for anyone, even with the Switch successor aggressively staring at us from the future. The inclusion of a 12-month NSO subscription also marks an upgrade from previous bundles, which featured only three months of online membership.

The service provides access to online multiplayer, cloud saves, and a growing library of classic NES, SNES, and Game Boy titles. Combined with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the bundles deliver an incredibly strong offer, and at an immensely competitive price whichever bundle you opt for.

Other top Black Friday deals from Target at the moment include The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for just $39.99 at Target as well, the best price yet on IGN's Game of the Year winner for 2023, and $30 off the original $70 list price. Albeit it's going to be $30 at Walmart tomorrow, so that'll be a another one you should snap up quick, otherwise the deal will be gone quicker than you can say "I wish Zelda would go back to the old dungeon-style gameplay."

These discounts arrive amid speculation about Nintendo’s next console, often referred to as the Switch 2. Reports suggest it'll launch in 2025 and will support backward compatibility with current Switch games and Switch Online. However, no official details have been confirmed.

When Is Black Friday 2024?

The actual date of Black Friday in 2024 falls on November 29, but the holiday deals season starts a lot earlier than that. Plenty of retailers have already been dropping deals online. More and more deals will roll out leading up to the event, which culminates in massive discounts on Black Friday. Retailers will not reveal their biggest Black Friday deals until the big day, but most general deals will be available well in advance, such as the impressive Switch OLED bundle.
